Routine Digital X-rays
We perform routine digital radiographs of the chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, joints and extremities as clinically requested. X-rays are commonly used to assess bones, joints, chest conditions and a variety of other clinical problems.
Bone Age Assessment
Bone-age studies generally use a hand and wrist radiograph to assess skeletal maturation. They may be requested in children and adolescents when growth or pubertal development requires evaluation.
Scanogram
A scanogram is used for measurement of limb length and assessment of leg-length discrepancy when clinically indicated. Accurate positioning is important for meaningful measurements.
Digital OPG
An orthopantomogram (OPG) is a panoramic dental X-ray that provides a broad view of the teeth, jaws and adjacent structures. It is commonly used by dentists and oral surgeons for dental assessment, impacted teeth and treatment planning.
Preparation and Safety
Most routine X-rays require no special preparation. Metallic objects may need to be removed from the area being examined. Patients should inform the staff if they are pregnant or may be pregnant so that the examination can be appropriately reviewed.
What to Bring
Please bring the doctor's request and previous relevant X-rays or imaging when available. Comparison with prior studies can be important in assessing interval change.
